PLEASE DO NO BID IF YOU CANNOT COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION. Up for bids and sold to the highest bidder with no reserve is this 1975 Suzuki RE5 Rotary. Has clear Ohio Title and machine only has 10k original miles. First year for this model and the best looking in my opinion with the round style gauges and matching tail light. This bike runs but has been sitting indoors for about 5 years and will need a few things to be road worthy. IT IS A PROJECT! Bike was always started or kicked over while sitting. The existing battery is dead. Will need a battery, carb rebuilt, petcock rebuilt and front brakes gone through. The bike will start with a jump and holds idle but stumbles when throttle engaged and fuel petcock leaks. The machine drips a little oil and could probably use side cover gaskets. Chrome looks good and will clean up. Exhaust looks good with no holes, rash or rust through. The gauges and lights function. The protective cover over gauges operates as intended and flips up when key is rotated. The gas tank looks good with no major dents or damage. The inside has some light surface rust but should be usable with very little effort. The tires hold air and the bike rolls freely. The original seat has a split on seam as seen. Bike has a Vetter fairing attached as was common for the era but retains the original oddball turn signals and original mirrors. The headlight ears are still installed but will need a headlight to be original. Appears 99% complete and original but missing the rear turn signal mounts and headlight as mentioned. Overall an excellent candidate for restoration as the early models are very hard to find in any restorable condition. Email with questions.
