Vehicle Detail
2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI with only 52,655 miles on it. Bought and lived its entire life in Florida and has never seen a salted road. Absolutely no rust what so ever. Garage kept and with the factory original paint. I recently bought this car at an auction. The cylinder head is off the motor and nobody knows why. The woman who owned it said her husband took it apart one day for no apparent reason. The car sat for a couple of years and her husband passed away. Most of the parts are there to put it back together. I do see a few things missing. Turbo charger and exhaust manifold, intake manifold, and a few marker lights. The trunk is full of parts including the head which looks like some sort of work was done to it. It's completely cleaned up with the valves and cam out of it. There may be other parts missing that I am not aware of. I bought this car to put back together for my personal use. When I got it back to where I'm living, I noticed the drivers door window was not working properly. I took it apart and while doing so, I got busted by the association where I'm living. The association laws state "absolutely no working on cars" and it has to be registered. If they catch me working on it again, I will be fined and I have to get it out within two weeks. I do not have the title in hand as of yet but the auction company said they do have it. I've decided to sell it because we're about to move a long distance from here and to have it transported and stored until I get settled, makes it not worth putting back together for me. At the end of this auction, this car has to be picked up rather quickly. I'm just trying to get my money back out of it so the bidding starts at what I have into it. Please contact me Within 24 hours if you are the winning bidder to make arrangements for pickup and payment. If I don't here from you and due to the time frame I have to work with, I will have to make a second chance offer to the next highest bidder. I'm not trying to be mean about it but I'm looking at a pretty hefty fine if it's not out of here in a timely manner. Thank you for understanding. The owner said the car has never been in an accident and the body is in nearly perfect condition with the exception of a few very small dings. Car is located in Citra Florida 32113.On Apr-12-16 at 13:31:40 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE, To answer a lot of questions I have been getting, As of today, (04/12/2016) I have a clean title in hand. The gentleman who took the motor apart oiled up the cylinder walls very well and put rags over the top of the cylinders. It did a good job preserving the cylinder walls and pistons. The motor does spin freely. I took some time today to get a better ideal as of what parts are there and what parts are not to help with the decision making. I found the marker lights. They are all there. It appears to have all the engine covers, pulleys, injectors, glow plugs, cam, springs, numbered cam journals, valve cover, hoses, radiator, evaporator, cooling fans, bolts, head, inter cooler and more. What I see missing is the turbo charger, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, and the fuel inject pump. I want to say this to those of you who are interested in this car. The missing parts can be very expensive. Used can be expensive as well. Today, I went over to the ladies house where the auction took place to try and find the missing parts. We searched high and low and nothing was found. Nobody knows what happened to them. My main goal with this auction is not to make a huge profit but to move it out before I get into more trouble with the association. I see the bidding has gone higher then I ever thought it would go. Looking back, It would have been a wiser choice for me to have put a "Buy It Now" price on it instead of an auction. I'm trying to be as honest as I can so the winning bidder has no surprises when they pick the car up. If you have access to another Diesel Jetta that has been accident damaged or already have these parts laying around, then this car is for you. If not, please price these parts out and availability, new and used, then make a bidding decision.. Thank you for reading and have a good day.
