You are viewing a 1976 Honda MT250. I purchased this vehicle in 2010 and it was sitting in a damp basement for 30 years with approximately 1400 miles on it. I had put approximately 4000 miles on the vehicle but the odometer stopped turning at 2500. The cylinder was taken off and had been seized due to the oil running out of the oil tank in 1977. The engine is now a 1975 that was found used. The vehicle had an old DG down swept pipe which now has a broken mount. The stock engine and pipe are not available and the broken exhaust mount will have to be fabricated. The vehicle has extensive corrosion on aluminum parts and some rust on steel parts. The exhaust appears to be intact but has surface rust. All chrome parts have rust on them (Please look carefully at all photographs). The tank needs stripping, painting and possibly sealing as there is some rust inside the tank. There is a small dent on the right side of the tank. The front tire is dry rotted and needs replacing and the rear tire was replaced approximately four years ago. The engine turns over and ran approximately one year ago. The vehicle was not registered last year. A clear title is available but is not in hand. The carburetor had some jetting issues due to the aftermarket pipe. The electrical system mostly works with some bulbs out and the 6 V battery does not hold a charge. All bids are considered legally binding contracts and are expected to be honored.
