1971 jeepster commando Dauntless v63speed manual **relist because per eBay I had it in the wrong section *** Bought as a fun weekend driver and now have new twins so no time to play with now . Engine runs strong , starts right up . Manual transmission shifts smooth . Have new rear shocks not installed . Replaced right front tire and has a very strong shake above 50mph . Hope to have tires balanced this week to fix. Can send videos of it driving around if interested . Fresh paint professionally done in last 6 months , has been garaged since then. Interior has been rhino lined . Rear seat also not installed but included . Have Aftermarket rear bumper ( old existing one is beat up ) and brand new hi lift jack that will throw in . Top is back on since I'm selling , shown in last few pictures. I used Uship to buy it originally here off eBay , great option if your not local . The underneath ones are rough so just have covers on them , same for rear seat ...have vinyl cover ...without it it would need to be recovered. Also added two undercarriage pics . There is a lot of surface rust but nothing I think Needs to be fixed . Mileage - unknown doesn't register . ..previous owner said engine was rebuilt a few years ago but I can't verify that . Starts right up and runs great . Rust ... Yes lots of surface rust underneath but no major issues in my view for a 44 yr old car.. added three pics to listing showing undercarriage . 4wd - was working but transfer case shifter seems loose and is not now . Has manual hubs , might be something I'm doing wrong but needs to be looked at . Yes the springs are flipped by a previous owner which does give it a small amount of lift. Rims - you see the white rims in some pictures and some with the hubcaps on. I just took both for reference , full set of original hubcaps come with it . All exterior lights work , wipers work , heater blows but just regular air , no radio . Right rear tail light is cracked What I would fix to turn it into more than my fun neighborhood local jeep....tires immediately( balanced or new set ) / install rear shocks which I'm including/ have 4wd looked at . After that I would redye the dash and have the seats recovered as they just have vinyl aftermarket covers on now . This is a nice freshly painted commando with a strong running engine /transmission . To reiterate again it must be trailered or shipped home as the shake at higher speeds is not safe to drive above 45 or so .
