1988 MERCEDES 560 SL GORGEOUS GOLD, BROWN SOFT TOP, LOW MILES FRESHLY SERVICED and ready to enjoy. Selling my 1988 SL, losing garage space: Car has received regularly scheduled service from DAY ONE to LAST FALL—service record book stamped and dated by Mercedes authorized dealers and service centers. — 54,425 original documented miles as per service stamps —Tires — New —Glass — Excellent, no chips or cracks —Cold A/C —Wheels — excellent, no curb rash —Bumper Rubber — very good, no gashes or scrapes —Stainless Bumper Tops — very good, 2 minor shallow dings [see photos] —Chocolate brown soft top — perfect, as new, crystal clear plastic, absolutely tight when all of the top levers are fastened [photo shows when top was loosely opened, no levers tightened] Also please note that the vinyl binding surrounding the clear plastic windows has no cracks anywhere, is soft and flexible! —Original radio was upgraded to Sony Radio/CD —Headlights and taillights — clear and shiny, no cracks —Original carpets —mint, always covered, no wear or stains! —Trunk carpet -very good —Engine compartment very clean. Battery 15 months old. —4 small paint chips, hood and front fenders, needs retouch- no dents Car runs, drives and stops well and is a pleasure to drive. Cosmetically, lower wood console has common cracks in the clear coat —All manuals, including maintenance booklet and clear pouch in mint glove compartment.—Power antenna new, works perfectly. —Set of tools — near perfect, pouch fair. Front air dam perfect. License plate mount perfect no dents. All rubber bumpers are excellent, no scrapes or chunks missing. Heated rear window is perfect. All rubber bumpers are perfect. Rear SS bumper very nice, no dents. Trunk handle is perfect, no rust or pitting. Wheels are straight, no curb rash. Tires are new. All plastic lenses smooth and shiny. Two small dimples on front bumper. Engine kept very clean. Low original mileage verified by routine maintenance stamps in log book, service right up to date. Fantastic interior, expertly installed correct new leather. Original factory carpets are like new, always protected. As- new chocolate brown cloth soft top with virtually perfect clear tight window when all levers are tightened. New clear pouch holds all original books and factory metal data plate. Clean rust-free spare compartment and perfect original wheel and Michelin tire. All four matching tires new.
