This STS is too good to scrap. The interior is in great shape, leather seats. The exterior is clean as well, windows are tinted. The problem with this car is the engine. The head gasket leaks and its an expensive job to repair. I would rather see this car go to someone with the desire to fix it rather than take it to the salvage yard. While the engine is out I would have the transmission checked as well. The Check Engine light came on and indicated a torque converter code. I took it to a tranny shop and they diagnosed as far as they could without removing it and the only thing they could come up with was possibly a shift solenoid that wasn't working correct. To drive the vehicle however there wasn't any noticeable problem. Did drive it for several months after the error code showed up, until the engine gasket went. The vehicle has studded snow tires on it now and I will include the 4 summer tires as well. There is some flaking on the rims so the tire shop has to usually make a couple attempts to get the beads to seal. Would be happy to answer any questions about the vehicle.
