1978 Ford F-150 Ranger Lariat -Top of the line Ranger Lariat Package-6.6 litre 400cid. Ford v8 Motor-Ford 9 inch Rear End -Lariat Chrome Grille -4 Wheel Drive NO RESERVE AUCTION Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a solid 1978 Ford F-150 4x4 Truck. This 2 owner truck has spent the majority of it's life on a Northern California Ranch. This Metallic Silver and Metallic Dark Blue F-150 was a highly optioned truck. It is the top of the line "Luxury" Ranger Lariat Model; complete with, Rectangular Headlights with Chrome housing and Grille inserts, Wood interior trim, Padded Blue vinyl roof insert and Ranger Lariat emblems. This F-150 options also include Towing Package, 4 Wheel Drive, Air Conditioning, Aux Fuel Tank, Power Disc Brakes and Power Steering and a Ford 9 inch Rear End. This truck also still has both California Blue License plates that were issued brand new in 1978. All this truck doesn't have is a new owner. It's being sold on a NO RESERVE AUCTION AND WILL SELL TO THE FINAL BIDDER!!! Cosmetically: this Ford is in good shape for a 38 year old truck. The Silver Metallic with Dark Blue Metallic color is the original color per vin plate. There are a few dings here and there, the worst being the passenger door. Otherwise this is a very straight truck. Underneath it is solid. No Rust under the Cab, Bed or Frame. The interior is in decent shape. The seat is original and has a rip on the drivers side. Currently it has dark Blue "Southwest Style" seat cover. All the gauges do work as well as the lights. The Air conditioning does not blow cold, but the fan, heater and defroster all work from low to high. Mechanically the truck runs and drives good. It has the stock carburetor and exhaust. This truck has passed the Rigorous California Smog Requirements. The 3 speed transmission shifts smooth in all gears as well as reverse.
