I'm right near the Ontario International Airport (ONT), so a fly in and drive back is an option too. Regarding CNG prices, mpg, and what filling it up is like. I have been paying $2.03 at a 76 station near Ontario airport. There are a couple stations in Riverside for $1.53! A few around L.A. for $2. Then bunches in the mid to low $2's. You can see a map of the stations at www.cngprices.com. There is coverage to Vegas, Arizona, New Mexico, Sacramento, & Utah. More if you join private stations. If you get serious there are even home fill options. I have been getting around 35mpg freeway, and even higher if the traffic slows down to 55. Of course, then I can jump into the Carpool lane if I want. Filling is very easy, and safer than filling gasoline. Gasoline can overflow and spill. Gas vapors are flammable. CNG can't spill and is a completely closed system. If you can fill a gas car you can fill a CNG car. Take the hose from the pump, attach to car, rotate lever backwards to engage the clamp, then forwards to lock it in. Then use your credit card like any other station. Removing is just the opposite. Takes about the same time to fill gas car. No chance of spills on the side of the car either.
