Re listing due to non paying eBay buyer (nijo594) Serious bidders only please! If you can't pay please don't bid. All you NAPCO buffs, here's your chance to own what just might be the one an only napco 4x4 school bus in the world! Here are a few links to some well know websites that wrote up some articles on the bus: bangshift.com/bangshiftxl/this-1960-mercury-school-bus-is-equipped-with-napco-four-wheel-drive-and-may-be-the-only-one-in-the-world barnfinds.com/big-bad-bus-1960-mercury-napco-4x4-school-bus RARE 1960 Mercury NAPCO 4x4 3 window short school bus, I've never seen another Mercury bus on top of the fact, being a short 4wheel drive one. This bus is super rare, an just might be the only one in existence, in 1960 this Mercury bus was built with the NAPCO power pak option, heavy duty NAPCO axles, lift leaf springs, divorced transfer case, 4 WHEEL DRIVE, this is not some put together bus, this Mercury was built new this way to get some kids to school no matter the circumstances!! The bus is school bus yellow underneath the blue paint that someone has added later, you will see the NAPCO power pak badges on the fenders, the body of bus is a bluebird, which I believe were built in Canada, this bus is massive in its stance, it has 20" wheels on it an the tires measure around 38", it's hard to tell its scale from the pictures, but I've tried posting a couple with big an small vehicles around it, the ford beside it in one picture has a 18" lift an is on 46" tires, the bus measures only 20 ft in overall length, an is about 96" wide, and around 9ft total height. To have an idea of the scale of the size of this thing, the bottom of the body measures 32" off ground, an bottom of fender wheel arch is around 46.5" Bus body has some rust through on back corners, an inside on floor when u open back door, also small spot on side steps in entrance, does have side door an mechanism that opens an closes, 2 back windows gone, the bus has the wrong hood on it, it's off a 58 ford I believe, a 59-60 ford hood would work, the motor an transmission are gone, I believe it had a 460 in it, it does still have the divorced transfer case with a high an low, an all the drive shafts hooked up, the transfer case has a drive shaft that runs it so looks like you could almost mount any motor tranny combination up to it, the front axle cover has a hole pocked in it from tractor trying to move bus, could be taken off an welded back up, bus rolls an tires all hold air, steers really easy, no title, shouldn't be hard to attain title, I do have registration papers to the woman that owned it last, but she had lost title, will be sold with those an bill of sale, here's your chance to own a piece of history, that would get a ton of attention, you can't miss it lol.. No reserve auction, high bidder wins, $500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction end, remainder of payment due 3 days of auction end, buyer responsible for pickup or shipping, I do have a shipper that I use that could maybe help you get it where u need it to go, any question please call or text 903-219-7412, thanks and happy bidding!!
