I bought this car as a Certified Pre-Owned BMW that many years ago, and have babied the car ever since. Compared to others you might be considering, this car is unique in a couple of ways. First, it is equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission, with factory Sport Package features. The 20-way multi-contour seats that come with this package are the best seats I have ever tried. You can basically get the seat into any position, and it even includes neck bolsters. For anyone looking for a 6 speed manual in a BMW 5 series, you know how hard it is to find. Secondly, this car has always been serviced and maintained by BMW master technicians. Anything that needed to be done was always done promptly, and things were often replaced in anticipation of needing to be replaced. Lastly, it has Auburn Dakota leather seats, a color they are no longer making. I call it my "football" seats. In terms of some of the equipment highlights, it has navigation with a newer data disk, xenon headlamps, BMW sport shift nob, heated front seats, and Sirius satellite radio, just to name a few of the options. It has Sport Package features such as the multi-contour seats and sport multi-function steering wheel, and Premium Package. Has the all-weather BMW mats. In terms of service, brakes and tires are approximately midway through life. Tires are Toyo all seasons, and the brake pads and rotors were always done as a complete set with BMW parts. The windshield was replaced 2 years ago due to a crack. At the same time I replaced all the rubber molding round the front and rear windshields. Synthetic oil changes are done regularly, as are state inspections and emissions. There has been no "major" repair work needed. This is a solid, solid German automobile. I wouldn't be surprised if she had another 150,000 miles left in her. Now for the few warts, just to be completely transparent. The car was tapped in the rear a few years ago at a stop light, which put a vertical crack in the middle of the rear bumper. The bumper could have been repaired and painted, but we decided to replace the bumper, to be on the safe side. The impact was very minimal, there were no airbags deployed, and no structural damage at all. Even the bumper damage was fairly minor. This won't even show up on the clean Autocheck report, but I'm a super honest guy. Last summer I had the hood and roof repainted with the correct BMW Monaco Blue. This was because the clear coat was starting to break down from sun exposure. The work was done professionally and looks great. There is a small ding on the driver's side rear door, more of a crease actually, pretty low. I have had a few over the years, and have always had them removed by a Paintless Dent Removal specialist. I've not yet done it for this ding, since it just happened. It is hard to notice. Lastly, the service indicator just came on for the routine brake fluid change. This will need to be done by the new owner. Otherwise, the standard disclaimers apply. This is a 10 year old car, so it has some minor exterior and interior imperfections one might expect due to regular use. The car has in no way been abused, and quite to the contrary, has been well cared-for over the time I've had her. It is time to give her a new home.
