VEHICLE HISTORYPRIOR to overheating October 2015, this car operated & functioned beautifully!Solid, powerful, smooth and straight! Florida Keys car, never hit nor physically damaged. The car appears to be rust free. I am 2nd owner. Non-Smoker! Car has 156,161 miles.I purchased this car from NJ dealer at 21,684 miles, and had it shipped to me. Car never left the Florida Keys the entire time I have owned it.(besides short trips up to Miami Saab Dealer for the Saab Multi CD Changer purchase, installation & programming, a couple various inspections, and an initial oil change or two.) Routinely & properly maintained.Oil & filter every 4000-4500 miles. Always synthetic. Convertible Top's Exterior & Interior Fabrics are in GOOD condition,and the top does NOT leak.(reference below for comment on hydraulic hose that requires replacement) Exhaust System appears solid, and to be in good condition. (reference photo)(as noted below, the center portion of exhaust system was replaced in 2012.) ITEMS INSTALLED or REPLACED in 2012Crankcase Breather Ventilation Retrofit Kit Installed.Oil Pan Dropped & Valve Cover Removed to Inspect Cam & Timing Chain. Confirmed Clean Oil Pump Screen with No Sludge build-up.All Was Clean and Virtually Wear & Sludge Free. New Oil Sending Unit & Crankshaft Sensors Installed (simply because access to them was available during the above maintenance.) Radiator, Water Pump & Hoses Replaced. AC Compressor, Hose & Dryer Replaced. Remanufactured Starter Installed. Power Steering Pump & Hose Replaced. Center Portion of Exhaust System Replaced. ITEMS REQUIRING ATTENTIONEngine Convertible Top's Hydraulic HOSE (single) LEAKS, and requires replacement.NOTE: The convertible top, mechanical mechanism, pump, remaininghydraulic lines, and sensors, all operated properlyand were fully functional PRIOR to this single hydraulic hose leaking. Bosch 5.3 Module requires replacement. (ABS light is on) Front Leather Seat's Seams exhibit small sections splitting/thread separation. (reference photos) Paint is unwashed and lacks proper wax sealant, and exhibits discoloration on the rear spoiler,rear bumper, small spot on the hood, and small section over front windshield.Rear Bumper Cover also exhibits Pealing of Paint.Front Bumper Cover exhibits Pealing of Clear Coat. NOTE: the small discolored area on the hood (near the windshield spray nozzle)started to clean-up when rubbed with a rag, but without full knowledge of paint, I didn't continue rubbing. (reference photos of the spoiler, bumpers, and hood) Left Rear Tire Tread appears to be worn approximately 80%.Left Front Tire Tread appears to be worn approximately 90%.Right Front & Right Rear Tire Treads appear GOOD-VERY GOOD CONDITION. (reference photos) Carpet is unvacuumed, and exhibits areas of minor wear.Front Saab Carpet Floor Mats exhibit moderate/heavy wear.Rear Saab Carpet Floor Mats are in good condition. (reference photos) The dashboard mounted Hazard Button is functional, but popped into the dash. (reference photo) Spare Saab Key is broken-off in rear seat lock. (the rear seat lock still functions with key blade in tumbler) The Transmission Gear Selector's Cosmetic Designation Plate & accordion strip cover are broken/cracked. (reference photo) Weather Stripping, passenger door, is torn along threshold. (reference photo) Wiper Blade Refill Rubbers (windshield & headlight) require replacement. Rear Bump Stops, positioned inside rear coil springs exhibit weathering/deterioration. The Radio Antennae is stuck in the 'up' position.The antennae drive motor functions & clicks when radio is operated,but the radio antenna remains up. The OnStar Antenna, although functional, appears to be missing top cap. (reference photo) Jacking Contact Points beneath the car exhibit the expected usage scuffs, dings and jack pad / frame marks. Brake rotors & lug nut heads exhibit surface rust from the car being parked. Included is a SINGLE Saab IGNITION KEY.Two Functional Saab Key Fobs are included.(As noted above, spare Saab key blade is broken, and remains in rear seat lock) Also included is a Haynes Saab 9-3 Owners Workshop Manual.Manual exhibits heavy usage, and a destroyed binder, and numerous grease-smudge pages!(Saab enthusiasts you know who you are!)
