For Sale - My rare & classic 1972 Fiat 850 Sport spider. A beautiful, completely rust free, all original, garage kept classic. Runs & drives most nicely. It sounds like a beast and is best at 5000-6000 rpm. This car is going the way of the Dodo bird; good luck finding one with NO rust. This has NO rust. Classic 5/5 car - looks awesome at 5 m.p.h and 5 ft. away. New Tires, refurbished wheels. All original badges. Hell, what am I talking about. It's beautiful to walk around and look at it. Very clean, all original. This car has displayed in Italian concourse (static) and of many Fiats shown, this one is inevitably singular and garners much attention (all you find are 124's). It's a very comfy car to ride & drive in, surprisingly. This is a CA. car, and has spent it's entire life here. THE GOOD: 1. All original, rust free vehicle. 2. All electrical systems work- gauges (all in Italian), switches, lights signals, horn, etc. etc.3. Original interior, excellent shape; 3 minor cracks on dash4. Newer vinyl convertible top & original Tonneau cover in excellent condition.5. Cooling system newly upgraded - will NOT overheat6. Newly rebuilt Weber carburetor - 2 barrel6.5 1050 cc engine with Abarth exhaust and other Abarth upgrades.7. Abarth? I don't know but engine has Abarth Valve cover & some decals.8. MOST records, including original pink slip; maintenance history; Hayne's Fiat 850 repair and care manual; extra OEM parts, original spare wheel & tire, tools and owners manual. Very good provenance. .9. Garage kept entire life10. Brand new tires, brakes good.11. Currently registered, no smog required.12. Excellent Chrome THE ISSUES: 1. Dodgy 2nd gear synchro - works, but requires some finesse on most occasions. Downshifting from third must be done perfectly.2. Top clips missing for convertible top - those that attach it closed to header.3. 3 cracks on dash - well camo'd by black tape (see pic) THE QUESTIONABLE : 1. Re sprayed Ferrari Red over the original Fiat Blue (The Red I think is a much better color any way). No fading on paint. Fun Spring & Summer Driver!
