Up for sale is my 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300SE W126 with 79,000 original miles. I purchased this car last January from the original owner, an 85 year old woman who was in real estate. She bought the car in November of 1990 for $50,000 and used it to show homes locally. 3 years ago she broke her hip which left her unable to drive. I purchased the car last year and immediately started to drive it daily. I've taken it on numerous 500+ mile road trips and it has never gave me an issue or left me stranded. The car is in fantastic condition for its age. The body is in great condition, paint shines and all the panels line up. Some small rust bubbles have appeared on the front fender, above the rear bumpers on the quarter panels, and below the back glass, but there is no sections of rot anywhere on the car. Interior is in very good condition for its age, the center console wood needs to be replaced and a small section of leather is separating on the drivers seat. The headliner is in great shape. The engine and transmission are extremely strong, no slipping in the transmission, no missing in the motor. Car rides and drives extremely well. A/C will need to be charged due to a leaking line, but it is ice cold in the summer or I would have never drove the car. Changed within the past 10,000 miles are the brake pads, master cylinder, booster, transmission fluid and filter, power steering fluid and filter. This car cruises all day long at 90 miles per hour with no issues. As with any car this age, it will need some TLC, but it is mostly cosmetics and nothing that has to do with the driveability of this car. I would not hesitate to get into this car right now and drive across country. I am purchasing a home and unfortunately I have to sell my Mercedes.
