Vehicle Detail

Excerpt from AutoTrader:The Fox-bodied Mustang SVO lasted only three short years but during that time, it made an indelible mark on factory performance cars. It, along with others like the Corvette ZR1, was the right car at the wrong time. The Mustang SVO gave the public a package that unlike the 5.0 liter Mustang GT, was a well-balanced combination of performance and handling. It crossed the line of typical American performance cars that only went fast in a straight line but faltered when it came to road handling. Due to leading edge technology and superior handling the SVO was in a league of its own. On Feb-08-16 at 10:17:14 PST, seller added the following information: More Details: My understanding is that the second owner was the daughter of the original owner and inherited the car after her father passed. That's why the AutoCheck shows the first "title event" as staying in Eastpointe, MI as well. So really, I am only the 3rd owner. According to the 2nd owner, from whom I bought the car, the original owner was going to do a nuts and bolt restoration, and had taken the car apart before he passed. The intention of the 2nd owner was to make the care a racer; but he found that he had all of the parts and felt that it would be a shame to butcher such a rare car - so he kept it stock. He decided to sell the car because he still wanted a racer. I bought the car from him in nearby Ohio and drove it back to Michigan - taking it past 100 mph to "test" it out - with no problems. The car has new tires (BF Goodrich G Force Rival), new brakes (including rebuilt calipers, new hoses, brake lines, and master cylinder), rebuilt power steering rack and pinion and pump, new clutch and pressure plate all installed by the 2nd owner (have some receipts). The car was also repainted with PPG paint. My intention was to detail the car in the spring - specifically to: wet sand and buff out the finish and complete the trim details (black accents), detail the engine compartment, buff out the wheels - and then decide if I was going to keep it or sell. But, I decided to see what the ebay market said before I put the time into it - especially since I noticed an identical car sold on ebay a week or 2 ago for $7,500, with 40,000 more miles on it than my car. I have the car registered as a classic car, with full coverage ($12,000 replacement value as it current stands) with State Farm. The car is also being offered locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Please don't miss your chance to own this rare performance vehicle. On Feb-08-16 at 11:09:21 PST, seller added the following information: By the way: All of the SVO emblems that go with the car are also included. I was waiting to detail the car before putting the emblems back on.On Feb-08-16 at 15:24:35 PST, seller added the following information: Added a few more pictures taken today.
