Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 2005 Porsche 911 3.6 Carrera. This is a now two owner vehicle, Carfax shows 3 owners, but we purchased it from the original owner who originally leased the vehicle from Porsche. We have all paperwork showing ownership chain from Porsche to the original owner and then to our company. This vehicle was sold to us because it had a scored #6 cylinder. This is a very common issue with this generation 911 and it even affects the Cayman and Boxsters. Luckily we have plenty of Porsche parts and experience in this field. We professionally cleaned all engine parts and replaced the damaged case half, the damaged piston and of course head gaskets and seals. If you do any research on these vehicles you will find many articles regarding this manufacturer defect. This 911 made it 75,000 miles before the issue was enough to warrant replacement. This car now has no sign of cylinder scoring, and runs and drives just like it should and has no known issues. We have driven the car a few hundred miles since the repair with no leaks, noises or issues at all. The vehicle just passed smog. This car has always had proper maintenance and still holds its original paint (no accidents) which is in excellent condition. This is a rare chance to own a non molested 911, everything is the way it arrived from the dealer. This car was even ordered with chronometer on the dash. We included the option sheet to show what the car was ordered with but if you have any questions please let us know. We just registered it in our name on 1/29/2015 and it takes 7-10 days for California Dmv to send the title. If the vehicle is sold inside California we can provide a bill of sale and transfer paperwork or register the vehicle in the buyers name if needed. If the vehicle is sold outside of California, we will provide a bill of sale at the time of sale and mail the title when we receive it from Dmv. We can show all ownership documents to the buyer. Known Issues with vehicle: Wheels have some minor nicks (normal for this age of vehicle). The heater control buttons are showing wear (also common with these vehicles)A small ding on right quarter panel near the bumper, we have it scheduled with a dent removal company. It really is that nice.
