I am the original owner (title in hand) and purchased this from Green Brook GMC on January 10 2008, the vehicle had 9 miles at the time of purchase. This has been the Family Truckster for the last 222,000 miles. Yep, you read that correctly...220+ THOUSAND MILES. 95%+ of those miles are highway long haul vacations and weekend trips. During those miles we changes the oil (always full synthetic) every 5k, rotate the tires with each oil change, changes ALL fluids (coolant, transmission, brake, steering, and transfer case, axle, etc.) every 25k, The vehicle has been washed every two weeks (automated brush-less car wash) and detailed (full interior steam clean, leather conditioned, etc.) at the end of each season. If it needed something...it got it. To say this vehicle has been meticulously cared for is a vast understatement. It needs NOTHING. I would put my family in it and drive to FL and back tomorrow without thinking about it; and get 24 MPG doing it! Actually, we just made that tip in December without issue. It runs, looks shifts, and handles like it is new. Cosmetically it is excellent - 9.5 out of 10. Mechanically it is excellent 9.8 out of 10. In May of 2015 I put those Pirelli Scorpion Verde's on there and they are still looking new. Easily they have 50k miles left before you even need to think about changing them. We are buying a new Truckster...yep, you guessed it...another Acadia! Looks like GM has the bugs work out of the new body style and time to BUY! But, they only offered me $5.5k as a trade in (they want to make more on the used cars than the new ones!!!) , and I am confident it is worth more. So...here we are. There were some issues, and they were all corrected by GMC. This model has two MAJOR issues. The Power Steering Rack and Pinion were defective from the factory. It was replaced at 138k miles and GM made good on that repair...cost me nothing :) There was also issues with water leaking through the sunroof drain tubes...I never had an issue with it (sounds like some were not installed properly) and GM made good on that too...but, it was never an issue on this vehicle. All recalls have been performed and the vehicle is up to date with a current NJ Inspection. There are some imperfections...the worst is on the back bumper - small dent in tailgate (about 2" and covered up by a USMC Decal) and a few scratches on the chrome of the bumper. Also on that trip back from FL a rock hit the hood and put a 2" scratch in the hood...you cannot see it in the pics, but it is there - I put clear coat on it to keep from rusting/spreading. I have pics of both of these and can email if needed. Other than that nothing noteworthy that measures over a pencil eraser head size imperfection - those have been clear coated too. In 2010 I was hit by truck in the front driver fender. All sheet metal work/headlight, NO uni-body/suspension parts were replaced, or straightening needed and I was back on the road in a week. This is the Top of the Line Model for the Acadia in 2008. The SLT 2 Package was Fully Loaded with EVERY option available. It also has the Navi and DVD Entertainment Package.
