Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on my late father's pride and joy (other than his family), his 1992 Lincoln Mark VII LSC. Dad was the CEO of a well-known global cosmetics and beauty company. He took incredible pride in his appearance, and in the appearance of everything he owned as can be seen by the immaculate condition this automobile is in. Look at the Auto Check Vehicle Report with the listing. This car rates a score of 47 compared to an average of 18-36. It is the REAL deal. From the day he brought it home from the showroom, this car has been maintained at or above scheduled recommendations. The moment anything seemed abnormal or wrong the car was immediately brought in for service, and if parts were required only Lincoln parts would do. Even after the warranty was expired nothing but Lincoln parts were acceptable unless there was no other choice. Over the years Dad's trips over to Lincoln Land to get replacement parts (when needed) were always great bonding time for my mother or any of us kids who happened to be available to go with him. The car was serviced by the same mechanic for about the past 20 years. I have the maintenance records dating back to when the mechanic last upgraded his shop computer system. That was back in April, 2007 when the car had 64,514 miles on it. The car has just turned 81K miles toward the end of last year. It was (and is) driven to be enjoyed locally and for short trips up to a few hours away so that dad could enjoy it as long as possible. The Michelin Primacy tires we put on the vehicle have about 4,000 miles on them. And of course, it's been garage kept. The paint job is original, and it still shines like it did on day one. Just look at the reflections in the pictures if you have any doubt. Dad had a man in weekly to wash the cars and detail the inside. One of the highest traffic areas on any vehicle is the inner door panel next to the driver's seat. You can see no dirt, no scuff marks, no meaningful wear of any kind on this inner door panel. The car drives as nicely as it did when it was first bought. Since dad passed away in June, 2015 we have continued to maintain the vehicle in exactly the same manner that he did. When the trip computer display stopped working, I went out and got a genuine Lincoln one to replace it with. I just added new front calipers and replaced the front suspension compressor. The full service history that we have is available upon request. This is one of the last of the golden-age of Lincoln vehicles. The 302 8-cylinder motor is the same one used by Ford in the 1988-1993 Mustangs, and the 225 hp provides plenty of pep. I listed this one and it's "sister" (a Gold 1988 LSC with about 136k miles) last summer. The Gold one was snapped up at the BIN price within 24 hours and the buyer was (and remains) more than delighted with it. This one went to full auction term, but did not hit the reserve price. To be frank, the last appraisal we received for the vehicle was $9000. This is not a vehicle that gets valued based upon Kelly Blue Book It's been maintained at collector quality level, and has been driven just enough to keep everything in optimal condition and so that it can be enjoyed. With my father gone, my mother has chosen to relocate to be closer to the rest of the family. Before I simply transport the vehicle 1000 miles (which is not inexpensive), I am listing it one last time on eBay in case there is someone out there who can appreciate all of the effort and love that has gone into caring for this classic vehicle. Feel free to contact me on 937-369-8020 if you have any questions or if you would like a copy of the maintenance records. Thanks in advance for looking.
