1981 Mercedes 300 CD with 232,600 miles and only 83,500 miles on new factory built Mercedes engine replaced in 2002 at Park Avenue Motors Mercedes-Benz of Palo Alto. Only 51, 645 miles on completely rebuilt transmission in 2006. Refurbished chrome OEM rims from LA Wheels and Tire in 2011, new headliner with fully working sunroof in 2007, brake and ac repair with new compressor in 2012 and full body respray in 2015 are some of the highlights of this well maintained car with all original records from 1999-2015. I am the third owner of this California only car since 1999. It looks and drives great for a car over 30 years old that has been a daily driver. Exterior has no dents, chrome in good condition, no bubble window tint, minor rust on lower interior passenger side door, windshield pitting with scratch and exterior windshield molding in need of replacement. Minor 5mph front end collision in 2009 replaced chrome grill and condenser. Interior is great: non smoking, no pets, cruise control, clock/odometer, power locks, power windows working, pioneer radio/CD, minor cracks in dash, slow moving rear windows, rear ash tray missing, cracks on top of rear seats and shift lights and door opening lights not working. Power rear antenna non functional but have a brand new aftermarket antenna that I will throw in. Engine is strong, cranks over on first start, no smoke full power up steep hills and smooth shifting. Vacuum leak somewhere causing AC cold air to mix with outside air so that needs to be addressed. Overall it's a drivers car with all original Mercedes books, original jack, and mint painted full size spare tire. The list of all parts replaced, rebuilt, adjusted or serviced is way too long, but I have the complete original records from 1999. It’s between a fair to good car based on Hagarty descriptions, but not perfect. I’ve describe the car how I see it . I would prefer to sell this car locally to somebody who could actually come by and see it. But i would also try to be helpful with an airport pick up ( Sacramento) for out of town buyers. Please do all your " due diligence " BEFORE placing a bid. This is a wonderful 30 plus year old classic car and it will be sold " as is " , " where is" and without a warranty .
