BEST OF THE BEST!........1979 Toyota FJ40 Land cruiser fully loaded with every option and then some! FOR SALE:1979 FJ40 land cruiser fully loaded. This vehicle was a frame off restoration by TLC4X4 in California in 2003 and has been beautifully maintained ever since. TLC4X4 is one of the largest FJ restorers in the country and creaters of the scratch built ICON FJ’s topping over $200K. These guys are the best of the best as time has proven. Restoration started with a full mechanical overhaul, see sales flyer below from earlier purchase. From every nut and bolt to every wiring harness......all Toyota spec'd. Immaculate job and another beautiful showroom re-creation from Jonathan Ward. Truck only sees sunny days every week or so and has always been garaged. I have all original manuals and tool kit, warn winch bag with tools (brand new, never used), plus a soft top and bikini, as well as a matching painted tailgate for when hardtop is off. All locks are original as is all glass; this was not a parted together truck like most you find on Ebay, all VIN's match. Rims are original Toyota powder coated black with correct Toyota center caps. I have all receipts for work done and bill of sale from TLC4X4. Upgrades include a Tuffy console, Old Man Emu suspension, Line-X inside and under tub, TLC high back leather seats, an Alpine CD stereo as well as an ARB bumper and air lockers. A/C was professionally converted to R134a by TLC and has the high and low side quick connect ports in line as well as new hoses. Everything else is original or rebuilt. This truck needs absolutely nothing, just a driver. Very strong 2F engine, no leaks. Recently replaced the front knuckle seals and bearings, master cylinder etc. last month. All mechanical is absolutely perfect as well as the body and paint. Sound system is incredible! All is in perfect running condition ready to roll. Honestly, it's like driving a manual 4runner. Great on highway. This was a true find worthy of Wards talents and carefully chosen. "Barn find", if you will, with an updated twist to make these old awesome rare vehicles daily drivers on and off the road. Serious inquiries only! This FJ is priced for a quick sale. ORIGINAL SALES FLYER FROM TLC4X4: " A beautiful freshful restored FJ40 with the original drive train, 2F 6 cylinder, four speed solid case transmission, P/S, A/C, Old Man Emu suspension, Alpine CD stereo system, kill switch, ARB customized bull bar with Warn 8000lb. winch and IPF fog lights, leather wheel wrap, bikini top, Optima battery, Tuffy console, upgraded leather high back front seats, and Line X polyurethane coating on the underside of the body assembly and on the inside too. During restoration, we removed the stripped body from the frame and repainted the truck in the original color, reassembled with all the OEM re-plated hardware with stainless steel upgrades throughout, all new weather stripping, emblems, dash and roll pads, extensive powder coating on most trim pieces (rims, bumpers, glove box, roll bar, etc.). Mechanically, we did over $20,000 worth of maintenance and upgrades including fully overhauled front and rear axle assemblies, new upgraded brake system, transmission and transfer case rebuild, new clutch, full tune up and valve adjustment, engine side cover/valve cover oil pan gaskets, new steering system, new 33" BFG All Terrain tires on new stock rims, rebuilt carburetor, overhauled intake and exhaust manifolds, new exhaust system with catalytic converter and much more. It cruises perfect, tight and straight, and comfortably at highway speeds!
