Rare 1956 Mercedes Ponton 220 S Saloon car with full Webasto sunroof for restoration Restoration has been started on this car to include a rebuild on original Bosch generator, new ignition wires, a carburetor rebuild, radiator flush, deep cleaning, partial dis-assembly and reassembly for assessment. 4 very good tires. There's some rust to the floors under front foot-wells.and you will need to repair them along with new interior, and paint. Frame is solid. Comes with 4 extra doors -in perfect rust free condition, (orig doors have a little rust) extra body moldings, spare parts boxed up. The car is 98% complete, so you wont be hunting for many parts. The engine tested out at over 100 ft. lbs. in each cylinder. Starts, shifts, stops. Car is located in New Mexico where there's lots of sunshine, which is why the car is both well preserved and also sun dried!
