This is a 52 Pontiac Chieftain. It has been sitting in a barn since 1970 (Dry Storage). I purchased it about 4 months ago, I rebuilt the master cylinder and wheels cylinders. This car still has factory brake lines and brake hoses (brake hoses should be changed). They work good, still a little spongy. They may still have a little air in them. The parking brake works. The fuel system has been all cleaned. The tank was like new inside. The car runs and drives. The car only has 53K original miles on it. It does NOT smoke, tap or knock. Runs smooth. An awesome find! The engine has new points and plugs, but still has the original wires on it. The radiator has been flushed, so far I have seen NO leaks. The transmission shifts good. Every once in a while it will stick in Reverse or Drive, but if you shut it off and restart the car it works. Must be a valve body sticking from a lack of use. I serviced the transmission. Has a brand new 6V optima battery. Starts every time. Exterior- This car has been repainted one time before. There was old body work done to the drivers side rear quarter. I believe that is the only plastic in the car. All surface rust, besides the lower back splash pan. It has a little hole. Exterior is complete. It has 53 Pontiac fender skirts on it. The only I put them skirts on it is because the car only came with one when I purchased it. I will also include the single skirt with the car. I have all 4 hubcaps. Interior- Needs to be redone. The seats still have good bones. The door panels are complete but rough. Headliner is still in tact. All gauges function, besides the fuel gauge. It goes right to full, so I probably just needs grounded. Heater, defrosters, headlights, turn signals, brake lights, reverse lights all function.From the drivers seat back, all the floor braces and floors are solid. They have surface rust. The 2 front floor pans need replaced. But the floor braces are solid. I am including 2 new floor pans. The inner and outer rockers are solid. Suspension- The car has been lowered 4 inches. It has 4 inch blocks in the rear and 1 1/2 inch coils cut off the leaf springs. Has 4 good used radial tires on it. This car is almost road worthy. On Dec-13-15 at 17:05:43 PST, seller added the following information: I FORGOT TO MENTION, THE DRIVER SIDE REAR WINDOW IS CRACKED. AND I DO NOT HAVE ANY KEYS FOR THE VEHICLE. I TOOK THE IGNITION CYLINDER OUT, AND I HAVE BEEN TURNING IT OVER WITH A SCREW DRIVER (BUT I AM INCLUDING A BRAND NEW OLD STOCK IGNITION SWITCH). ALSO, I DO HAVE THE TITLE. IT IS A CLEAN TITLE IN MY NAME.
