Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1969 Lotus Europa S2. A very early S2 which retains the S1 door handles and clean lines without the front markers -- but has the more desirable roll down (power) windows and body bolted (not bonded) to chassis. 33k miles. This example was in indoor storage for several years before the owner passed away and we purchased it from his son. Although running, driving and in good cosmetic condition when it came to us, we embarked on an extensive mechanical freshening to make this Lotus a turn key driver. Recent work has included fluid flushes, brake rebuild and master cylinder, rear coil overs, tune up, aluminum radiator and hoses, new tires (Vredstein Sprint Classics), fuel tank reconditioning and hoses, shifter linkage rebuild and more. It runs and drives as it should and is extremely light, nimble and quick. No known frame rust issues, body remains in good condition with no cracks or signs of previous repairs. One older repaint that is holding up well, there are a few flaws and touchups but overall the car looks quite good. Interior remains in good original condition, side carpet and beading around doors is showing its age but otherwise things are well preserved, new floor mats. Working 8-track player in center console. All gauges and electricals working. We get complements and questions wherever we drive it and one must really see these cars in the flesh to get a sense of scale and proportions -- it's little!
