Vehicle Detail
This was purchased from the government in 2008, to serve as the "billboard" and showpiece for a small, non-profit pet protection organization in PA. It was given some nice chrome wheels and otherwise decorated; then put to work for them. The organization apparently changed its direction, at which time I bought it for a friend of mine who saw it as an ideal platform for a food or ice cream truck -- and in much better shape than the ones typically sold at government auctions! Now, seven years has passed and I've seen no repayment; and my cancer has returned, requiring me to get rid of my projects and problems before burdening the kids with my mistakes. The previous owner put some nice, old-school chrome wheels on it and bought a much nicer set of front seats to replace the ones that came with it. They're all included. My son drove it from PA to North Carolina right after I bought it, to store it safely until I got paid, and that trip went well, but it has been sitting ever since, and the engine has either developed a hydrolock or simply siezed up. Regardless, now Frogdog has got to go regardless of what I get. Other than the engine, everything to my knowledge works as it should. It will, of course have to be towed home, but it rides fine on a rollback. I will be away while this listing is up, but my friend, Doug, who runs a local towing & recovery business, will be happy to show it to anyone, and will also assist in any other aspect of the transaction. It is at the shop where the engine problem was diagnosed. Doug can be reached at 540-294-0826. Please bid whatever you wish and make a deposit of $200.00 or more upon winning the auction. You won't be disappointed - except for the engine, this is the best one of these popular trucks I've seen. You won't be pressured to remove it, but it is now outside and being kept for me purely as a courtesy.
