Vehicle Detail
The one you've been waiting for, NO RESERVE! This is a gorgeous 1987 FJ60 that has been professionally converted to a Toyota 2H Diesel (by Cruiser Solutions) with an installed turbo. Also includes an upgrade to the legendary Toyota H55 5 speed manual transmission. Tacks out at 2100 rpm at 65-70 mph and averages 28 MPG ON THE HIGHWAY!!! Currently running on diesel, will run biodiesel no problem. Brand new 16" alloy wheels and new 32" AT tires (complete set installed less than 1K miles ago). Sweet bumper with Warn Winch, swing away spare tire carrier. Old Man Emu lift kit. Exterior is an 8 out of 10, interior a 9 out of 10. Look closely at the photos, I have shown pics of everything including problem areas, nothing hidden or not disclosed. Front seats are fully functional BMW seats in leather with all electronic controls working. AC blows cold. Nice Kenwood stereo with 4 speakers. 2H diesel motor was rebuilt in the last 30K miles (when installed). All records included, see the photo of the binder? All the records of the work done. The good - what you see. The last year of one of the greatest trucks/suvs ever built, in amazing shape, virtually rust free, with a fuel efficient and bomb-proof diesel engine and the best transmission you can get. Has a glow plug bypass button installed to help heat the glow plugs for easier startup - and it starts right up and runs strong every time. Not a speed demon, but it will go anywhere. Everything works as it should. Over 34K invested in this truck. USA truck with the powertrain that it should have had from the beginning. The bad - couple small rust spots and paint scratches/chips - see photos. The engine is burning some oil, not sure why. Maybe a quart every 400 miles. Needs one new glowplug, that would help it start even easier (though it always starts using the bypass button anyhow). Hood looks like it is not original - paint matches but fit is a little weird - see pics. It is almost 30 years old - it ain't perfect but it ain't far off. If there was no bad to list, my reserve would be close to 30K. This is a NO RESERVE auction. I've had a lot of fun with this truck but need to free up funds. Registered in Oregon to my company, William Henry. I will answer questions as best I can, but please do your own research to learn more about this truck, the engine, transmission, etc. Google away, what you will find is the FJ you always wanted is right here, for sale right now.
