**11/15/2015 Update....I have videos of the Patrol starting as well as driving. I can email upon request. I will post more photos today as well.** 1965 Nissan Patrol. Very rare truck with rare options and very complete! Runs and drives! The Patrol spent its life since 1981 locally as far as i know. It was parked in a barn for 20+ years, then sold to a small junk dealer who never did anything with it. He ended up taking to a dealership his family owned with the intent to work on it which didnt happen. I saw it one day driving by on the road for work and I purchased it the next day. I have not registered is and has the last title dated in 1981. Overall condition....The Patrol is very solid. If you wanted to restore, this would be a prime candidate! You could also leave as is, you would have a really cool original driver. The frame is very solid and straight. No fabrication or alterations anywhere. The only concern is the cross member under the transmission will need some repair. The sheet metal is in good solid shape. It has had some work done in the past on the front quarter panels, however, it looks like they just bondo-ed over the kick vents. If you look inside of the panels, the vents are there and in good shape so it was not rust repair. Only the rear back panels will need some serious repair. This Patrol has a very rare 1 piece fold down tailgate and and a rare side-mount spare tire carrier! Most Patrols had barn doors and swing out carrier on the rear. There are no holes rusted through the floors throughout the truck, however, there are a few crusty areas that eventually will need attention. The windshield frame is solid and the vent panels open and shut tightly. The glass is in good shape with NO cracks.The hood has some cracks on the front corners, but otherwise very solid. The hinges will need to be repaired/replaced because they are seized. I had to unbolt the hinges to remove the hood. The front grille is very solid, just needs a little straightening. The doors open and close without issue. The window regulators are fair, but will need some adjusting. This Patrol has the original license plate bracket on the front which is usually missing. Drive train....Complete and mostly functional. The engine runs really nicely and quietly! The transmission shifts fine and the Clutch seems to be good. Axles are functional and in good shape. Radiator and shroud in really good shape with no leaks. Dualmatic lock out hubs. The brakes will need attention as the truck does not stop. We have not spent any time on them. Gas tank was removed and will need repair. The gas tank skid plate is in good solid condition. Brand new starter installed. Radiator looks to be in good shape. Exhaust system is complete in fair condition with no major leaking. The Patrol will also need a new battery. There is a old one included to use for a core. Interior.....As you can see in the photos, all of the interior is there. Front seats frames are in excellent shape and covers are actually in good condition. The rear jump seats frames are also in great shape. The covers on them are not original. The soft top bows are all there and very solid. Some of the original powder coating is still visible. There was no top when I bought the truck. Nothing missing on the dash....all of the knobs/switches are there. Glove compartment opens and shuts. Shipping or pick up......I can assist with shipment logistics if necessary. I recently shipped some other vehicles across the country so I am familiar with the process and costs. I can include a tow bar which is currently mounted to the front bumper (not shown in the pictures). I used it locally without issue, however, I wouldn't advise flat towing this long distances. If you would like any additional details or photos, just ask. This is an awesome truck. I get so many compliments and questions about it just sitting in my driveway.
