Vehicle Detail
For sale is my partially disassembled 1971 911T, 2.2. I purchased this car from the original owner in September 2001 in San Luis Obispo, California. She provided original bill of sale, service records, even a speeding ticket. It was my daily driver for a time, making the 17 mile drive or central coast hillclimbing almost every weekend. Numbers matching, original. I learned how to do all the maintenance myself and made some small upgrades including shoulder seat belts, new repro visors, new accelerator pedal, new window felt and trim, new rotors on the front and new bearings. The car is very straight and drove like a dream - lots of power. I had plans to restore the car on my own but am unable to complete it. I began the disassembly in 2006, but work relocated me overseas soon thereafter, and I've moved several times since. The car has moved with me several times, with parts crated etc. I hate myself for selling this car. vehicle: 9111100205 engine: 61142277 https://www.flickr.com/gp/136842039@N07/0j9AZk I tried to photo everything; if you see something missing I probably just missed the photo. I believe I have all parts removed from the car including bolts, trim pieces etc. except for the few items which were of no value - original gas tank, some rubber, vinyl that was glued on, etc. If the flikr link doesn't work please email me at steven_buckner at yahoo and I will email you the link directly. The photos are warts and all. Items of note - the rubber on the car when purchased was very dry, and there was some evidence of water getting past at the lower edges of the front windsheld. During the last move the movers walked on the roof of the car during the unload when I was unable to supervise. Pictures show all the issues. Overall this is an excellent candidate for restoration, or possibly just a little body / paint work and reassemble if so inclined. The motor turns freely and there is still oil in the case.
