1980 Honda XL80S with title. I bought this bike from the 2nd owner. It had been sitting in a garage for over 20 years. This is an unfinished project of mine. The bike is 99% original, and 99% complete. The only NON original part on this bike is the petcock, I have the original. The only parts missing are the 4 bolts that connect the blinkers / turn signals. Everything else is original to the bike... paint, decals, engine, fenders, grips, etc.... not sure about the tires. The bike does run. The gas tank is almost rust free in the inside. The rest of the bike is completely rust free. What it needs: speedo cable, tires are cracked but hold air, breather separator filter, air filter, headlight, headlight bracket, headlight bucket (existing bucket is not bad), battery, gas cap gasket, front fender has a crack on the back side, and gas tank will need kremed, lined, or just another round of apple cider vinegar. The good news: the bike is in great shape other than the headlight area. The handlebars are straight, original levers and grips, the light switch and run/on/off switch is great. The gas tank has NO dents, with only small light scratch's. The seat is damn near perfect, no holes or tears. the rear fender and light assembly are really nice. The side covers are nice, although at some point someone did a repair the right side cover mounting tab... very well done repair. There is no rust on the bike, and the chrome on the wheels still shines nicely. The exhaust is great, just minor spots of surface rust, no holes or damage. I have gone over this bike the best I can, and pretty sure I have listed most everything it will need. I also hand cleaned the entire bike, using simple green and a toothbrush. Ive done most of the tedious work, so the new owner will hardly get there hands dirty. With another $300-$400, you can have a very nice and original bike, that is completely street legal. Ive only seen a few of these for sale in original great running condition, and prices ranged from $1500-$2200. Im more than happy to answer any questions, or take additional pictures. I could probably take a quick video of the bike running also. I will work with your shipper of choice, but buyer pays and makes all arrangements.
