This '86 Carrera Cabriolet is an extremely interesting example with full Gemballa package added in-period. The car appears to have been delivered new in Germany and has was imported to the US in period. It has been in Washington State since 1998 (thus the Washington State assigned VIN), the entire time with just one owner.
The conversion includes the slope nose fenders with pop-up headlamps, smoothed Euro style bumpers and deep chin spoiler, vented wide body rear fenders and matching aero rocker panels, Turbo-style tail, Gemballa branded rear fascia, and high mounted stop lamp. In addition to the body work, the car also features the full interior treatment with full leather dashboard, integrated cassette storage cases, center stack, all leather steering wheel, deep pile carpets with Gemballa branded floor mats, matching gauge faces, and even an all-leather multi-function Gemballa steering wheel.
The car rolls on period deep dish BBS wheels and sports upgraded dual exit sports exhaust system and a more modern stereo head unit. Included with the car are many extra parts including three boot covers (two leather), the original fog lamps with extra lenses, and additional vintage stereo componants that have apparently graced the car through the years.
Also included are the complete German owners manuals set, Engilish owners manual, plus full owner history from it's time in the US. We've done a complete inspection on the car with related fettling that included a service and new tires all around. The car runs and drives nicely with tight handling, good power, and an awesome soundtrack from the sports exhaust system.
