This is a very nice example of a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door sedan. It is largely original, and has been well maintained. It has the popular and durable 289 CID V8 engine, with a 2 bbl carb; and it runs very well. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and has no issues whatsoever. Everything on the car works as it should, with the exception of the station selector knob on the AM radio. Otherwise the radio works great. Perhaps the biggest feature of the car is that it has less than 27,000 original miles (documented). The primary cosmetic updates to the car include a paint job in 1999 in the original Aqua color. This past summer, the headliner was replaced, again in the original aqua. The remainder of the car is in very nice original condition, including the dash, seats, floor covering, and trunk liner. Recent updates include: new steel belted radial tires, completely new brake system, and a new dual exhaust system. The carburetor has also been gone through. Small, miscellaneous items have also been updated, to include the starter solenoid, fan belt, fuel filter, & front & rear axle seals. Other updates in the past few years include a new starter, water pump, fuel pump, battery, ignition coil, radiator hoses, thermostat, distributor and spark plug wires. As noted on the photos, the engine compartment has not been touched cosmetically. Also, the inside of the driver's side door under the window should be repainted. It does not have air conditioning. The radio is AM only. On Nov-13-15 at 09:01:03 PST, seller added the following information: Based on some questions I've received on the interior, I have added a few more photos. The dash pad is in great condition - no cracks or other issues. The painted face of the dash, generally the glove box door, has some minor discoloration and scratches. Hopefully the photo helps represent that. The plastic/chrome trim on the dash in front of the driver has a few scratches, mostly near the ignition switch where the key has made marks over the years. The drivers door has some discoloration and surface rust on the top, painted portion, just below the window, where the driver's arm probably deposited sweat over the years. This is the most significant issue on the interior. Again, the photo should help show that. The steering wheel has normal wear, but is pretty minimal. The horn ring is slightly discolored. The seats and carpet are original and in good condition, but could maybe use a good cleaning.
