Vehicle Detail
You're looking at a 2005 Scion tC 5spd manual, in Azure Blue, with black interior. I am the 2nd owner of this car, and have loved owning it. I am selling because I needed a larger vehicle, and bought one from a family member. I would gladly have driven this car until it disintegrated, but it needs a new home! This would make a great first car for someone, a great daily driver. Decent gas mileage, plenty of storage (you'd be surprised how much stuff you can fit in here with the seats folded down), fun to drive! The good: The car runs and drives very well, the engine has had regular oil changes with all synthetic oil. The clutch is a brand new stock (non-racing) clutch, less than 1000 miles, new rear brake calipers/rotors/pads, new front brake pads. Tires have less than 10,000 miles on them, and tread looks new. Alignment is good, no wobbles, steering wheel is straight. Battery holds a charge, but it hasn't been tested. A/C works excellent, icy cold. Stereo works, speakers all good, there is an aftermarket 1/8" AUX cable that comes out of the back of the stereo and works in place of the disc changer. Moon roof opens and closes, no issues. Windshield is new, thanks to an icicle falling from my house. Includes owners manual and first aid kit, spare tire, jack, tire straps and tire bag. The issues: Interior: Interior is mostly clean, has a few small rips in the trunk area and on the back of the rear seat. There is a white stain from baking soda on the front passenger seat that was from baking soda that was used to deodorize after a small pet accident. The accident was several years ago, there is no residual smell, and the baking soda would probably come right out with a steam cleaner (I don't have one). There is also some road salt debris in the front driver side floor mat, it could also probably be steam cleaned out. The plastic inside the driver side visor broke, and I fixed it with a bolt and a couple of washers (it's not an eyesore though), it works normally now but if you are restoring to original condition, you will have to replace the visor. Mechanical: There is a check engine light on, I believe for a sensor issue, but I would have to have it checked to be more specific. There is an exhaust leak in the manifold, it is only slightly louder than normal. There is a slow leak in a few of the rims (not the tires), and one rim has a small dent that doesn't affect tire seating or alignment. Exterior: There are quite a few dings and scratches in the paint. There are two larger dented areas, one in the front left fender, and another in the right rear quarter panel. The rear quarter panel dent has been pounded out, but is still wrinkled (see photos). There are some pock marks with small rust dots peppering the hood and various spots around the car. There are also some deeper scratches on quite a few parts of the car. I have included pictures of the most prominent areas. That's everything I know about the car. The car is being sold AS IS, with no implied or expressed warranty, no refunds/returns. I will not arrange shipping, but will be happy to work with a shipping company to arrange delivery of the car. $500 deposit due on auction completion, remainder due within 1 week.
