Up for sale is my 55 metropolitan. The car is stock in appearance but made more drivable with a later model Nissan 4 cyl motor and automatic transmission.( I believe its from the mid 80s.) The paint is really nice but has a couple chips from normal use. The convertible top is in ok condition, it had a couple small rips repaired but it works good if your caught in the rain or for storing. I've owned the car for about 3 years and have had a lot of fun driving it to local car shows and just around the neighborhood .(first in Michigan and now in Florida) I am building a home here and its just been sitting a lot so I figure its time to let it go. Everything works on the car except the gas gauge. Every time I try to put gas in it after driving it a few times it only takes 1-2 gallons so it doesn't use very much! Even the original am tube radio still works (I unplugged the antenna to use on the cd am/fm) The brakes are manual and stiff. I don't have a problem driving it but you may want to look at them and have the drum brakes adjusted. A dealer friend of mine bought the car from a insurance auction and I was there when it was delivered to him, he literally jumped the car and it fired right up, in fact the car was so nice I bought it from him and have had it ever since. No parts were replaced. I am a classic car collector and have bought plenty of cars over the years, you can check my feedback as a seller. I want you to be happy with the car, that's why I'm always as honest about my cars as possible. I usually keep them a few years and then buy a new toy to "play" with. This car is one of my favorites, its a low dollar car that you will have a ton of fun with. If my house was done I would probably just keep it but I'm still a few months out.
