Vehicle Detail
I'm just the 2nd Owner, Smooth ride, tons of power, all-time 4-wheel drive. This SUV is great in the snow!Sport package, Premium package, Premium sound with DSP system. Adaptive HID headlights automatically move with the steering wheel. Automatic rain sensing wipers in the front and rear. Motorized folded mirrors. Factory self-leveling air suspension in the rear automatically keeps the ride height perfect even when carrying a heavy load. 5000lb towing capacity so you can tow a boat, camper, etc. Most of the common problems with BMW X5's have already been addressed since I've owned it. (Since 1//1/2013).Here's a list of main items that have been repaired in the last 2 years- Oil leak at alternator bracket....$$$$- vacuum pump- sunroof rebuild...$$$- front control arms and tension struts- water pump / thermostat- rear air bags replaced- transmission valve body replaced (and still under warranty)... $$$$ It does have one minor issue. The check engine light will sometimes light for a catalytic converter efficiency code. It will light and go away since sometimes the catalytic converter passes self testing, and sometimes it doesn't. The catalytic converters can be purchased from Rock Auto for around $250, but since it's not causing any issues, I've chose not to replace it and will just factor that into the sales price.Other than the above issue, everything works great, and I have all the maintenance and repair records from the previous owner, plus everything that I have done.Has almost brand new tires, brakes, rotors. New front control arms. I had the OEM wheels stripped and powered coated black (not plastidip!). H&R springs for mild lowering.
