Vehicle Detail
I am offering for sale my 25th anniversary Mustang GT convertible which has been restored to showroom condition using all original, OEM Ford parts. The car was purchased by my father in 1997 as an all stock daily driver from a recently retired woman in Port Angeles, WA. She bought it one year old, and used it for commuting back and forth to work. My father used the vehicle for top down cruising on the rare sunny day in Western Washington State. I learned how to drive a real car from him in this Mustang. It has never been altered from stock, has never been in any type of accident, has never been driven hard, and has always been kept in a heated garage. After his passing in 2008 the convertible became mine. In 2012, I had the car completely and professionally restored. I sourced all parts from Fox Mustang Restoration to replace any worn items. All parts replaced were done so using OEM Ford parts at great expense. Nothing in this car is made in China. The original, numbers matching engine was rebuilt to stock specifications and balanced. Even the smog pump was replaced with a new factory unit to ensure it still meets all emissions requirements as when new. The original AOD transmission was professionally rebuilt and a shift kit was added for increased durability. Shifting action is as new. The turbine wheels are the original set with minimal curb rash on two of the wheels, not bad for being 25 years old. The paint and body were professionaly restored using the factory color. The top, the leather on the seats, seat foam, carpet, and all rubber seals were replaced with new factory units. The interior is near flawless save for slightly faded front seatbelts. Tires are brand new as are the brakes. All 6 shocks have been replaced with Bilstein heavy duty B6 units. I have receipts for all parts in a folder in the trunk of the car. Included are original owners manuals, and the boot for the convertible top in the original storage bag. Everyone says their 5.0 is the cleanest. This one actually is. The original radio is included, but has been replaced with an iPod compatible Alpine CD player since cassette tapes are rather hard to find these days. All original wiring is untouched and the radio was installed with a harness adapter. Do yourself a favor. Buy this, drop the top, and see how much fun you have been missing out on.
