1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT AWD Wagon with silver exterior and grey leather interior, premium factory aluminum alloy wheels, sunroof, luggage rack. We are selling this car for a family friend that needs some financial help. The car has been sitting for the last 3 years and is in need of some repairs and a good cleaning, but is easily worth repairing as it is one of the nicer and more sought after of the all the older Subaru models. I did a quick wipe down of all the leather seats, door panels and dash...and the interior of this car is actually in EXCELLENT condition.There are no rips or tears anywhere. No wear or splits or cracks in the dashboard or anywhere else. The nice leather interior alone in this car is worth more than the starting price of the listing. All the glass is in excellent condition, too. I did not do any vacuuming or cleaning of the carpet, but it appears that all the carpet will look great with just a good cleaning, too. Car starts and runs but will first need a new battery to do so. The reason why the car has been sitting for the last 3 years is because it previously needed to have a new water pump installed, but it never got done due to other family priorities at that time. Car also had some minor damage to the right front fender and where the front bumper attaches, but looks to be a fairly simple and inexpensive fix. As far as I know, the main repairs that will nee to be done in order to get this car back on the road are mainly the water pump and a new battery. Also the tires are in need of being replaced due to having been sitting. After those things are done, it will be easier to know what other issues may have to be resolved due to having sat for 3 years without running. Current book value of this car in its present condition is still over $2100 or more, so this is going to be a bargain purchase for whoever wins this No Reserve auction. IMPORTANT: Winning buyer of this car will have to have this car towed or arrange to have it transported, as it absolutely cannot be driven until the water pump has been replaced at the very minimum. We require a $500.00 deposit thru Paypal within 48 hours of the auction end. Balance of remaining purchase price must be paid either thru Paypal or in cash within 7 days of auction end. Also, car must be picked up and removed within 10 days of auction end.
