You're bidding on a very original Mercedes 280 SL European version that has belonged to the same owner since 1985. He imported it from Germany with 20,989 miles on 4/18/85. The vehicle has been garaged kept and driven only on special occasions. It has been meticulously maintained over the years with documentation in hand. I am not the owner, but I am just listing it for my friend since he does not have an Ebay account. This vehicle does not have any rust issues. The vehicle is extremely clean, however it does show some age to the original interior. I did see some oil leaking from the cover underneath the valve cover. Vehicle runs smooth and is quiet. The convertible top is almost new and I was told it was changed about 5 years ago. The seal around the convertible top lid is torn, please see the pictures provided. I would recommend an inspection, so you know you are getting a great car before bidding. This vehicle is sold as/is where is with no warranty.
