Vehicle Detail

This vehicle was purchased in 2004 as a "body-off full restoration" from a private individual in Florida. It was purchased as a Christmas present for my wife. (Her first car, bought in 1959 was a 1958 Red and White Isetta 300 Deluxe, exactly like this one.) I wanted to surprise her with something special, for she had been fighting breast cancer continuously for 6 years. This Isetta was a ball to drive and brought back many wonderful memories for both of us. As her condition worsened, we no longer took it out for a drive and it has not been driven nor started since 2007. She passed away in 2010 and I am, only now, ready to sell. As stated previously, it performed flawlessly during those 3 years. As it has not been started in almost 9 years, I cannot say what kind of condition the engine is in. The remainder of the car is in very good condition, as the photos show, with the exception of a dent in the right rear quarter panel (also shown in the photos) that was caused by a careless individual that allowed a motor-scooter to get loose in the garage. The front wheel of the scooter hit the Isetta, causing the dent. The vehicle has been garage kept during this entire time. The only thing that was added, since it was purchased by me, is a set of new tires + a new spare, a new battery and a new "drive coupling" (which acts in the capacity of a universal joint between the engine and drive gear on an Isetta.) which was warn and needed replacing. Additional items that were bought during the earlier time of my ownership "to enhance the enjoyment" are shown in the final photo and are listed as follows left to right, top to bottom in photo: 1) Isetta parking sign; 2) 3 ea. Isetta BMW 250 metal models - 1/43 scale; 3) a 1958 Virginia original license plate; 4) Isetta Maintenance Manual; 5) Isetta Owners Manual; 6) Isetta Complete Restoration Manual; 7) 2 new replacement drive couplings; 8) 1953-1964 Gold Portfolio of Isetta Information; 9) original tool holder (2 original tools); 10) windshield wiper blade; 11) Completely Restored original jack and handle with storage bag; 12) new replacement turn signal switch; 13) new replacement headlight switch; 14) Complete front & rear wheel cylinder repair kit; 15) new replacement front door handle; 16) used refillable shock absorber; 17) some other misc. parts. all to be included with the vehicle. Successful buyer will need to arrange for their own transportation and delivery of vehicle. The vehicle is currently garaged in Southwestern Va. in area code 24095. Upon the completion of bidding, the winning bidder will be expected to put down a minimum deposit of $1000 within 24 hours.
