*1968 Plymouth Fury III Convertible* Before you is my 1968 Plymouth Fury III Convertible *A solid car throughout. (floors, frame, frame rails) the trunk has some rust, the only rust on the car. I have held off on this and will leave it up to the new owner to address as they see fit...a pic illustrates the surface extent. *Very low miles, only 13,000 since the 318 engine was rebuilt! *Garaged & pampered, non smoker, no pets. *Restorative work performed from 2006-present consisted of the following: *The 318 V8 heads were rebuilt. It starts & holds a smooth idle. *Fuel tank was removed, cleaned and resealed. *The AC was removed and not reinstalled. It would need a new compressor, condensor, lines, etc. *Front end rebuild, tie rods, control arms, ball joints & shocks, it feels tight and does not jump around. *A new oversized radiator was installed *Power steering and power brakes were added. The rear drums were turned, and front end calipers were added installed. The emergency brake holds and releases properly. *The car was completely rewired front to back in addition to new plugs. *Fully block sanded & repainted in "Plum Crazy" purple. *The seating areas have been re-upholstered in black and gray in a style similar to the original. *The Dash was wrapped and new floor mats were put in and new door panels were installed *The power top operates properly in both up & down modes. New black vinyl top. *New halogen headlights were added and all lights work *New wheels and tires were installed *Door panels & sun visors are in good shape *All original glass throughout, no cracks. All windows track properly through their up and down motions. The side vent windows crank open and close tightly. *Window gaskets and weather stripping are decent, however, they are starting to show their age. The trunk gasket shows the most age. *The chrome is presentable on both bumpers with no flakes, chips or pitting. *The clock tells the correct time twice each day! Forget what time it is...when you're in the Fury III Convertible, it's time to have fun! *The horn is operable. All lights, high & low beams, dash, vanity, side markers, directionals and even the top fender turn signals are functional. *All features and equipment including the instrument gauges are operational. *All knobs, buttons, and stalks are present *Recent service included a new battery, filters, all fresh fluids, belts & hoses, etc. The Fury looks, runs & drives great! While it is not a show car, it is a very presentable driver quality example of American automotive history. The Fury can be driven anywhere with pride of ownership. It always garners compliments and receives the..."thumbs up"! Please have your funding in place prior to placing your bid. Thank you. You are bidding to purchase the Fury, not to be the first to, "look at it". Inspections are welcomed and will be facilitated to the best of my ability prior to the auction concluding. I have set a very reasonable reserve for the Fury, it is commensurate with the car, the cars condition and the low miles. Please DO NOT ask me what the reserve is, as I will not disclose it. I am a legitimate seller simply seeking a legitimate buyer. An initial payment of $1000.00 is due & payable within 48 hours of auction close VIA PayPal. The balance is then due & payable within 7 days thereafter under condition and arrangement made between myself and the buyer. The Fury and I are located in the Kansas City vicinity. While I am confident that the Fury could be driven home to anywhere in the states (I recently drove it to and from Michigan), remember that it is a 46 year old automobile and as such, is sold in "as is" condition.
