Vehicle Detail
I really haven't used this van all that much since I purchased it, but during my time driving it, it runs, drives and stops well. I purchased it in order to use it for business, but my current work has dried up and I'm not really using it. When I purchased van I heard the tranny noise and thought it was a valve tap. When I got a new muffler installed, it was on the lift and the mechanic stated I got a good deal ($1500). I though the valve cover gasket was leaking, but he said it was coming from the head gasket (driver's side)....I thought it just needed a good oil change since no water was noticeable on the dipstick or oil cap. So, I purchased the remanufactured heads and installed with new gaskets, plugs all around. Also new air filter. Started it up and runs better than when I bought. No water in the oil. It could probably use a good transmission flush or repaired/rebuilt, since the trans shifts fine, but there is some noise in it, so it does need attention. I'm in Pennsylvania and it's inspected until Jan. of 2016. You will probably need tires for inspection, depending on which state you're in. Mileage is 241XXX. The motor drops very little oil and runs well. Contact me if you have any further questions, or set up a time to take a look if you are local. I am listing the starting bid at $500, no reserve. I just want to get some of what I put into it back. If you know about transmissions, it could be an inexpensive fix and you should get some more life out of her. She still gets around and I will be taking it to the dump about 40 mins. away tomorrow to get rid of some stuff. The heads were $300 alone and they were remanned right. I have the receipt. Once I find it, I'll post the name of the company. With the exhaust studs, new head bolts, new muffler and gaskets, you have parts that exceeded the asking price alone. My loss, your gain. Thanks for looking. Vehicle being sold as is, no warranty or guarantee implied or expressed. On Oct-11-15 at 16:33:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I did find the literature (warranty information, core return and such) from the cylinder head manufacturer, but I do not know where I placed my receipts. The company is JC Enterprises out of Fairmont WV. I did not use the old spark plugs, I did put fresh in the new heads with new exhaust manifold studs too(except the two best from the old heads) as 10 came in a pack.
