Professionally built truck. Has the old look with some new comforts that add to drivability and dependability. Many new parts. Runs and drives extremely well, like a late model truck. Holds water temp on even the hottest days. Custom interior, has subwoofer installed and wired, does not have any stereo system installed yet. Straight axle was removed and an independent front suspension from a 2003 Crown Vic was installed. It has power rack and pinion steering, 12" power disc front brakes, steers and stops extremely well. Small block Chevy motor that had 85k on it when pulled from its donor, new gaskets, water pump valve covers, plugs and plug wires were all this motor needed to perform well. 350 turbo automatic trans. New u-joints. Has trans cooler. Steering wheel horn button is a new 1956 original style button. Partial list of new parts include: Chrome grille Chrome headlamp bezels Chrome front and rear bumpers (original painted bezels and bumpers available) Windshield Windshield rubber Vent wings with weather strips Horn button Inside door handles Outside door handles Rear view mirror Odometer Odometer bezel Hood Door weather strips Back glass with rubber Carpet (original style) This was a slow build, taking over 5 years and 400 hours and thousands of $ in new parts. All lights have new wiring and work correctly. Turn signals are on the Chevy tilt column and have self cancelling. Everything needed to drive this daily is in place. The work remaining to be completed is: Some of the dash gauges still need wired. Fuel gauge does not read accurately, I believe the sender needs replaced. No dome light at this time. Wiper motor and mechanics are in place but not wired. (I have the switch and harness) I have simply run out of time and need to sell to pay my son's last year at Iowa. (Go Hawkeyes!)
