-1990 Lotus Esprit Turbo Special Edition- Up for sale is our 1990 Lotus Esprit Turbo SE featuring the original high performance 4 cylinder Lotus 2.2 910 engine w/ Charge Cooler. This car has been a joy to own and I will miss it more than words can express. We are moving so have considered parting ways with the Lotus. This car handles and drives like a dream! Very fast indeed, have to watch yourself at times... I felt lucky enough to find this beauty local where I could test ride and experience before I purchased and I was highly impressed. The car has been well cared for and it shows. Upgrades to this beauty include: *12/26/12 Stage 3 chip, increases power to 290hp ($350) *12/17/09 18" wheels from Lotus twin turbo V8 ($1,068) *All 4 new high performance tires ($950) *10/15/13 Momo performance steering wheel ($225) *10/15/13 Upgraded rear brake light lens ($75) *12/26/12 Engine out completely re-done head with new valves ($4,600). 91K *12/04/12 New engine mounts ($145), new timing belt (Mileage odometer 91.5), engine buffer, upper and lower control arms wheel bearings, struts at all four corners ($1,200). *9/26/2012 New clutch pipe assembly, slave cylinder, and new fluid. ($215) *10/15/13 Brand new high end professional paint job using Lotus factory Calypso Red. ($6,000) NICE! *3/17/15 Brake work completed, new front caliper ($163), new e-brake cable ($224), shifter kit ($146), and new brake fluid throughout the lines. *6/25/15 Castro Synthetic blend 20w50 Oil/Lotus filter change w/ ring. At that time, new plugs, coolant caps, and hoses. *Interior is in superior condition, no rips or tears anywhere on seats! Aftermarket flip out CD/Radio w/ remote. Dash is clean and free of any defects. *All the body panels are perfectly straight. Car is dry and has always been garage kept and meticulously maintained. Note: I do have the original Calypso Red rear spoiler to go with the car, just liked how it looked without better. Car runs great and drives like a dream! I have the mechanic receipts, original keys, poster board from car shows, and original brochure ads to follow with car. Clean/Clear North Carolina title in hand, my name, fully insured, and ready to be transferred to new Lotus owner. NC inspection completed 6/10/15 and passed with no issues whatsoever.
