2000 Honda Insight 5-Speed 247,112 Miles One-Owner I bought this Insight from a new Toyota dealership where it was traded in on a new car. It has a one-owner, non-smoker history and a clean Carfax report. The service history is all listed on the Carfax and is more extensive than any service history I've ever seen before. The car was only dealer serviced and with no expense spared. I included the Carfax report with all history at the end of the pictures. At the time we bought the vehicle the car ran and drove excellent. The brakes were done 2,000 miles ago as well as the rear shocks. The tires are all matching and in excellent condition. It has been sitting for several months at my car lot and now it needs work to be road worthy. Since the car was sitting for a while I decided to list it on ebay as a NO RESERVE auction. The 12V regular car battery had gone dead from sitting so I put it on charge to get it cleaned up and ready to list for sale. After charging the battery I noticed that the red battery light is now on indicating that the alternator is not charging. The check engine light and IMA light are both on showing a P1449 code. I am not sure if it's a bad alternator or if it's something else related to the system. The car will run and drive in it's current condition but it drains the 12V battery as it is not charging. Also, the windshield has a crack in the lower passenger corner. This must be fixed before it can be road driven so the vehicle must be towed home by the buyer. Selling AS-IS with no warranty. This is a project for someone who understands these vehicles. NY residents are responsible for getting the vehicle inspected if registering in NY.
