Vehicle Detail

This is a 1974 911S retrofitted as a Porsche 930 slant nose. Not a Carrera. Good title. No rust. In the past 15 years and with mileage between 93,000 and 122,500, more than $15,000 worth of improvements have been made to the car with receipts to back it up. Here is a run-down: Improvements: 1992 - Car repainted Guards Red, originally yellow-$4,000 (I wish it were still yellow) 2002 - Engine overhaul-$9,000; Transmission rebuild-$1,100; Short shift kit-$700; New wheels-$2,500; Tires-$800. Note: New oil cooler, updated chain tensioner kit, Turbo (stronger) valve covers, multi-blade fan. Engine and transmission have approximately 30,000 miles run-time. 2002 boxer seats-$600, Pop-off valve installed 2009 - Brake pads, new points and distributor, wiring work, valve adjustment- $1,700 2011 - Front calipers and inner and outer bearings-$600 2014 - New Tires - $700 (Less than 100 miles on all four) 2015 - New MSD Spark Discharge Unit - $200 - New coil, Cap, Rotor - $100 - New Plugs - $50 - Replaced points with Pertronix electronic ignition ($100) - New fuel filter - $20 - Completely Tuned by Foreign Traffic on Route 8, Allison Park - $700 (May, 2015) - Oil and filter changed with less than 100 miles current - Installed a fuel vapor expansion tank as it was originally missing when I purchased the car - Trunk and engine bay detailed Note : Metal fenders not fiberglass, a new warm up regulator could help with cold starts. Some chips, chip touch-ups and paint cracks. Parts of inner door panels, trunk and engine lids could be repainted as the red does not match well and some considerable chipping. Not a professional paint job and not show car quality. The pics make the paint job look great however, the car is a 15 footer. On maybe 70% of the car the paint looks good. Door windows are hard to open and close. Likely need window regulator repair. Rubber is very good, no window cracks. Mechanically the car is in overall good shape. I just had it tuned up along with the 2015 upgrades mentioned above. It runs very well and has considerable power over where it was prior to the upgrade. I determined that the original discharge unit had failed so this is why I replaced it with the new MSD and it made a vast improvement. History: The car originated in California as a 911S. Sometime in the late 70's or early 80's it was retrofitted. Car sold to a Texan around 1980. In Texas, only driven occasionally for 10 years and just sat for last two of these years. Sold in 1990 making its way to the Boston area. This is where the car remained for approximately 21 years. Sometime after 2011, it was sold three times. I purchased it at public auction held by Grant Miller in Lockhaven, PA. in July 2013. It was part his collection. In the past 2 years, I placed about 1,500 miles on the car, it passed inspection at no cost other than the inspection fee. The car is due for inspection in September and I will have it inspected prior to shipping and will take care of any repairs needed to pass. The best word to describe the car is FUN!!!! If you are already a Porsche owner you know what I mean. Fantastic handling on corner at top speeds. Strong get up and go for a 2.7 engine. Many lookers. Note: If you are the winning bidder the car is yours unconditionally upon my receipt of the $500 non-refundable down-payment. Purchase price does NOT include shipping, taxes and any other purchase related fees and are the responsibility of the buyer. If you are located within approximately 200 miles of the 15044 zip code I will deliver the car to a specified location for a fee of $400.
