2015-09-20 416 Up for a 3 day auction To be sold at no reserve Is a 1972 Volkswagen Westfalia Tin Top Bus This is a very original Bus It shows a very nice patina and gets attention everywhere! I purchased this vw from a gentleman that claimed to be the original owner to it, i never investigated this but i do believe it to be true The bus does show some age on the body, it has a few dents, paint chips, and a little rust around the windows, i have tryed to take as many pictures of this bus to show its problem areas so please look at all of them This westy starts up and runs well, it has what i was told and i do believe to be its original 1700 cc dual solex carb engine with just over 100,000 original miles, tied to a 4 speed manual transmisson, we have cruised this westy around so cal and have enjoyed it, i have added a video below of it running, she shifts smooth into all gears, the clutch is in good working order, and the brakes work as they should, but she could use a tune up​ for it to be running in tip top shape The underside of this westy is nice and solid, i have not noticed any rust, i have some pictures of the underside which are below This bus still wears its original california blue plates, it has been in sunny so cal since new! This is a solid westfalia with a nice patina look to it, it is not very easy to find such an original california bus in this shape!
