This vehicle came up to Oregon from the Bakersfield Ca. area in 92. It sat inside a storage building until about 6 months ago when I bought it. The intent was to use it as a shop vehicle for my Rod and custom shop. I have an oppertunity to purchase some property so I need to sell my shop vehicle. Prior to me purchasing the vehicle it had the 283 engine rebuilt, the radiator recored, and the 3 speed trans upgraded to a 4 speed ( I believe it is a saginaw). Since I purchased it It has had the fuel tank removed and professionally cleaned and sealed, new fuel tank sender, new steel fuel line, new fuel pump, plugs, cap rotor, points. The brakes have all new wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, all the drums where turned. The front wheel bearings packed, new seals.New key locks for the ignition and doors. New carpet, new headliner, new custom door panels. new headlamp adjusters. The wheels are oldschool american racing 5 spokes with 3 bar knock offs , new white wall tires. The body work is basicaly done. It still needs to be blocked out and reprimed. The light blue color is tinted primer. If you are looking for a 59 elcamino you already know that the are not on every corner. When you do find them they are usually either a major project or already done to someone elses taste.
