HERE'S SOMETHING YOU DON'T SEE EVERYDAY...REALLY NICE VOLVO 240 from the greatest era of Volvo production. The videos and photos will, I hope, show you everything you could want to know but... if they don't, just ask. The odometer stopped during the previous owner, I've been using this car as dependable and inexpensive transportation and it has a TON of life left in it with a few repair issues addressed (see the videos). There's a new battery as of 2014, two almost new tires (less than 1000 miles and now on the rear) and the other pair has over 65% life left. The engine purrs like only a Volvo 240 can...for decades. There's a very small oil drip that I started to trace (hence the head gasket replacement...start at the highest point and work your way down...) but the head gasket isn't it. The oil cap is my third attempt at a perfect fit and STILL seeps a tiny bit...I believe that is the cause. There may be a pan seal question too but the oil pump (again, see the videos) fix will address that too so it's really rather simple to make this car 100%. I had the head gasket replaced with a full tune-up including new plugs and wires in mid-2014. There are warning lights on the dash but each is traceable/explainable easily...see the videos. The body is very nice and the paint is really almost unbelievable considering this car is a quarter century old!!! If you're like me, that may be exactly WHY you are looking for the older version (or even the 'original' version) of something. They usually work better AND are easier to fix and keep working longer!
