Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my beautiful Audi S4 Cabriolet. The car has a massive 4.2L V8 engine with 320 horsepower, all wheel drive, and a manual 6-speed transmission. The color of this beast is Moro Blue, with platinum interior and carbon fiber trim. The car also comes with the Bose Premium Sound System, and cold weather package. All of these options were straight from the factory and were at an additional cost. I first bought this car 2 years ago with 119K on the clock, I mean who could pass up a soaring V8 engine, all wheel drive, manual transmission and a convertible car? Shortly after purchasing the vehicle I noticed that the car was suffering from the infamous timing chain guide problem. Since I wanted a reliable daily driver I decided to spend the almost $6,000 dollars in the repair. Not only did I have the timing chains done but I made sure to use the “updated” chains guides that are made up of a metal backplate so as to be sturdier and last longer since the original pieces were made up of plastic only. Since the engine was out I had the clutch and pressure plate replaced with OEM parts, the flywheel was left intact since it was in great condition. Between then and now I also did some major mechanical maintenance that these cars are known to have problems with, including the radiator, alternator among others. I also had the majority of the control arms replaced but can’t find the receipt for their replacement. The car had its oil changed with OEM oil filter and fully synthetic oil every 3,000 miles. I will have the oil changed prior to sale of the vehicle. The only reason why I am selling the car is because we recently had our first child and I need something with 4 doors instead. I did install on the car an Evolution Motorsports EVOMS V-Flow Air intake system, which will come with the sale of the car. The car also has a Dension audio adapter installed so that you can stream music via Bluetooth. I also had a quad tip (Audi B7 S4) AWE Tuning Touring Edition with Black Tips Stainless Steel exhaust installed in the car that I had removed for the sale of the car. I have the exhaust for sale so if the potential buyer is interested I can have it re-installed in the car following the sale of the vehicle. Please note that the car does not come with the BBS LM Wheels pictured. They really turned heads but I already sold them and I put the ASA wheels that came with the car when I bought the car, the last picture illustrates how the wheels look on the car. The car comes with all four keys, two electronic key fobs, one plastic emergency key, and the valet key. The car also comes with the OEM wind deflector attachment that I bought brand new, with this attachment you don’t get any backdraft when you have the top down. This is a NO RESERVE auction so highest bid wins. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I am more than happy to help with shipping but buyer is responsible for shipping fees. Please note that I have the vehicle's title at hand, as I finished paying the lien on April of this year. Thanks and Happy Bidding Major Mechanical Maintenance -10/2013-Mileage 122,060 Timing Chain Tensioners and Guides Brake, engine oil, coolant, and transmission fluid flush OEM Clutch and Pressure Plate OEM Hood Strut Replaced OEM Trunk Struts Replaced Snub Mount Replaced Total Cost $5,244.53 plus $695.54 -3/2014 – Mileage 124,337 OEM Radiator OEM Power Steering Pump Total Costs $2,295.84 -4/2014 – Mileage 125,050 OEM Alternator Total Costs $1,253.70 Others: -11/2013 Car had the front driver seat repaired as it had a rip in the leather coming from the left seat bolster. 4/2014 - Replaced Windshield was replaced as I hit a small rock that caused a very small crack in the windshield 5/2013 - In the time of purchase I also added a 4 year comprehensive Ding Shield insurance that covers any dents and dings that the cars has with no deductible, all of which can be transferred if the new owner chooses to have it. On Aug-20-15 at 15:41:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to add that while cleaning the interior today I noticed a small tear in the rear passenger seat cushion. The tear is small and I did not notice it until today as I have never had anyone seated in the rear seats. I talked to my upholstery guy that fixed the front seat before and he mentioned that it would cost around 200 or so to fix. The other thing that I also wanted to mention is that lately I started noticing that the car is consuming about 0.5 quarts every 500 miles or so. Since this beast takes about 9.5 quarts of oil per oil change (yes its alot of oil) you barely ever notice. I talked to my mechanic about this and he mentioned Audi state's 1.0 quart per 1,000 miles is spec for this engine but that he would recommend changing the PCV valve as its a common issue on these cars and that part has never been changed under my ownership. On Aug-26-15 at 12:43:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok so some people have asked to see the small tear, I just uploaded a picture of the rear seat in which you can see the tear and the collection of all 4 keys. Some other questions that people have asked is whether I am including any kind of insurance or warranty, unfortunately I am not and this is a AS-IS Sale, finally other have asked if I would end the auction early, in response to that question I will not end the auction early in order to give all bidders and interested parties a chance to bid for this car. Other than that please feel free to ask any questions and Happy Bidding.
