For sale is my white 2003 BMW 325i four door sedan with automatic transmission. The car will need some mechanical work to make it all correct - but it does run, drive and has good working air conditioning and factory stereo. The car has approximately 211,000 miles. My understanding is that the engine was replaced around 130,000 miles. We have owned the car since it had about 150,000 miles. During this time we have replaced the fuel tank and pump, both driver side window regulators and the intake boot between the air filter and throttle body. I added the BMW aux stereo input jack. Other standard oil and brake service has been performed as needed. What's good:Brakes are good and all electric windows, locks, seat and sunroof are in working order. The seats and interior are in pretty good condition while carpet could use a good cleaning. Tires have good tread but should be rotated front to rear. The engine runs normal temps even during very hot weather driving, this has never been a problem.All lights and indicators are workingComplete factory tool kit and manuals are included The known issues include the following: recently the engine has started to have a rough idle, especially when it hasn't been running or is cold - it starts easily but runs poorly for the first minute or so and frequently never quite smooths out completely. the service engine soon light is onOver the past couple of years that we have been driving the car, we have been using the sport shift mode unless traveling at highway speeds due to what seems to be an issue with the torque converter clutch lock up system. Last year the fuel pump went out. Getting it repaired we found this was a "SULEV" clean air model with a special fuel tank/pump. At that time we had a shop convert it over to the standard 325i fuel tank/pump system. Since then, we have noticed that if the tank is completely topped off it seems to leak from the filler pipe, this stops as soon as some gas is used by driving.cigarette light is loose from mount in consoleexterior has minor dings and small scratches We are selling this car mainly because it will need some service that I do not know how to perform myself, and we don't want to spend money on this since we recently replaced it with a VW and have another car project to complete. Also the current registration expires at the end of August. At the moment we only know for sure that buyer will get at least one remote/key, we are trying to locate the second one if we can. We are willing to show the car in Golden Valley, the Kingman or Las Vegas area by appointment. Buyer will be responsible for any shipping if required.NOTE: this car is advertised locally as well, auction will end early if I get a local buyerOn Aug-15-15 at 18:26:34 PDT, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT UPDATE Saturday 8/15 - PLEASE READ Today I drove the BMW into town 20 or so miles away to get it washed and stop at the bank to get title notarized. When I pulled back out onto the street from the bank and accelerating between 20-25 mph the car had a noticeable shudder that could be felt and heard. This can be reproduced under the same conditions with the amount of load during acceleration effecting the amount or intensity of the problem. I demonstrated this for a couple of people and they believe that I have a bad u-joint on the drive shaft, I wondered if a worn trans mount might cause this? I don't know what this new issue is for sure, but it should be considered before bidding.
