Up for auction is my 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. I bought this car some 13 years ago and have had it in garages or in storage since then. I was using the car every now and then driving it to work until recently the radiator spring a leak so its been parked and now I'm selling it. Mileage is 69,313 and the title is clear. Basically its a complete original W72 optioned car that runs great and drives great (radiator has a bad leak) that needs restoration. The vehicle is solid . All panels are solid. Trunk, floors, quarters, fenders, and hood only have surface rust. Underbody as well only has surface rust. The only areas that I can tell that need repair is the passenger side cowl panel , please see the picture it has a small rust hole from debris and water accumulation. The radiator support where the battery bracket attaches is rusted out. I have a replacement radiator support along with some other parts that go with the car, again please see photos. The rear window will need to be removed to repair some minor rust from what must be a leak at the back side of the glass. It is very common on these cars. Interior is decent and unmolested as well. It of coarse will need refinishing and or replacement. The plastic items are dry rotted but I do have some decent replacement parts for those areas as well, again, please see photos. Dash, steering wheel are in nice condition. The previous owner must have had the car painted at one time and for some reason the holes for the fender flares have been covered. ?? Either that or some how maybe the vehicle was ordered that way. I have three of the four needed flares along with a new GM front center spoiler. The tires are brand new, not even 100 miles on them. So, I bought this car, changed the belts and tires and put about 500 miles on it. Just no time and space or money to do the restoration. Its all original except for a previous paint job. Very solid and complete and its a rare W72 optioned car. Worth some big bucks when restored. Car is sold as is with no warranty. Vehicle will need to be towed due to the radiator leak. I will need this vehicle paid for and picked up within 7 days.
