Vehicle Detail
This is a great 1967 Volkswagen Campmobile. This Volkswagen is the split window, pop top and is a walk through. The last year of the split window and the first year of 12 volt, this Volkswagen SO-42 is one of if not the most desirable of the Volkswagens ever. The body is in good shape with some rust spots here and there. The overall condition of the bus is good, the underside has some surface rust, but is in great shape for it's age. All the electrical items work. The windshield wipers, turn signals, parking lights, headlights, taillights, brake lights, backup lights and license plate light all work. the tail light assemblies are new, there is a new battery and interior lights work as well. The upholstery is in good shape with minimal wear. the pop top has been replaced and is held in place with staples but needs a new piece of trim to finish it off. The brake system is all new from the brake reservoir to the master cylinder, brake lines, wheel cylinders, brake shoes and drums. This work was completed by a local shop and all receipts and pictures from before and after will be included in the sale. The console with the cooler, counter top and water pump is included. The cot to go over the driver and passenger cap and the little seat that fits in the walk through is included as well. This 1967 Volkswagen goes down the road very well. Recent upgrades to the engine compartment include: new coil, distributor with electronic ignition, spark plug wires and a newly rebuilt carburetor. This Volkswagen goes well, stops well and is ready for the next chapter in it's life. I will include pictures of the VIN plate and the M Plate, and yes, they match! This Volkswagen rolled off the line April 17, 1967.
