One of the most worrying things about buying a car over the internet is the fear of buying a bad one. This Mustang has a Transferable Nationwide-warranty good at Ford Dealers everywhere. (and most smaller firms as well). The warranty is through Route66 Extended warranty and is their Top (of three) levels of Protection. It is called "Easy Street" and their description points out that it aligns with the new car warranty. It pretty much covers everything except tires/glass/paint/etc. You can call 800-808-0828 and get all the specifics. I transfer it to your name after the car is paid for. So you are covered from when you step in. It even covers towing and rental car (if needed). I would recommend that after you have called Route66.. you call your local Ford Dealer and make sure that they handle it properly. (I did). I had the same warranty 9 years ago when the Fuel Injection system on my other Ford went bad. The Dealer towed it in, rebuilt the FI for $1,170. I had to pay $146. ... and they covered the towing. It is worth while. I will cover the Transfer fee to the new owner, you will call route66 right after I do and satisfy yourself that all the "i"s are dotted and "t"s crossed.. So the remainder of the Warranty is 5000 miles or 11 months, whichever comes first. You can go cross country with miles left over for a trip to Canada....or just let the months run out with peace-of-mind. The Number of my Warranty is 3972N. Tires are about 80% (I cannot make this blasted software stop the bold print) ... no curb-rash n the alloy rims and all 4 spinners are unmarked, Minor stonechips have always been carefully touched up. Receipts include recent Sears Diehard, plugs, tranny flush, brakefluid flush, and so on. Car also has Tilt-wheel, clock, keyless entry and Tire-pressure monitor. And I would be happy to drive it to independent station for a lookover & review.....at YOUR expense.....But within 10 miles or so. . The prices are about 200 to 400 depending on what you want checked. It is a very good car that insures cheap, great MPG, very good condition with good options. And the price is quite reasonable. I would be willing to meet you at DIA with a full tank and point you in the right direction (an imprompteau vacation?) or I will just work with your shipper.
